Strand Lejeunelaan

Koksijde, a Belgian town known for being a true tourist destination, offers you a beach that is very unique in nature, mainly because it is more intended for people who prefer nature rather than a tourist destination and they are considered more of an adventurer than a family member. The beach is called Strand Lejeunelaan and is surrounded by an abundance of sand dunes that give the beach a true natural character, of course this beach is also sandy. If you like this type of beach, this beach is very easily accessible with all types of vehicles. You can park your vehicle easily at designated parking areas along the road, which are only 50 meters away. However, to reach the beach, it is necessary to beat a 10-meter-high sand dunes that are not very well-groomed. There is no beach infrastructure on the beach and there are no restaurants here, the closest one a few hundred meters away in the neighboring tourist center. While there is no accommodation in the immediate vicinity, these are already accessible a few hundred meters away in the form of apartments and hotels, and a little further away are campsites. The beach is several kilometers long and has a minimum width of 30 meters, but of course this width increases to more than 100 meters in the case of low tide. The slope of the beach is slightly elevated, the entry into the water is very comfortable, and you can count on the swimming point at ca. 50 meters.
