The Belgian town of Koksijde, due to its sandy beach, which is several kilometers long and more than 100 meters wide, is a very popular tourist destination, which mainly attracts families with small children. The beach we describe here is called Strand Sint-Idesbald. Access to this beach is very easy with every type of vehicle that can be parked at designated spots along the road, just 50 meters from the beach. The surface of the beach is really large, so there will never be too many people here as these will be distributed across the beach. The beach services here are enough to meet all your basic needs. Children are taken care of here, as there are children's playgrounds on the beach, as it is the case for sports lovers, who have some playgrounds here and can rent water sports equipment. No need to worry about food and drinks, restaurants of all types are located nearby. The same is true for accommodation. Hotels and apartments, as well as other types of accommodation, are located directly on the beach and extend some more than 100 meters inside the city. For those who prefer to spend their holidays at the campsite, these are also available and are available within a range of maximum 1 kilometer. The beach has a fairly uniform slope, except somewhere in the middle, where there is a smaller sandy slope. The beach is very flat against the water, giving you a very comfortable access to the water. It is possible to swim at this beach at ca. 50 meters of walking in the water, but this can also be shortened or extended by the tide.
