Paralia Katerina
The most beautiful beaches in Greece are certainly located on the Khalkidhiki peninsula. If you are looking for beautiful beaches and astonishing nature you simply have to visit this place, so many people talk about it, and after your visit, you will be one of them, for sure. The Khalkidhiki peninsula is divided into three smaller peninsulas, one of them is the peninsula Sithonia, than there is the Mount Athos peninsula and the peninsula Kassandra. The paralia Katerina is located on the second peninsula of the Khalkidhiki, named Sithonia. This region belongs to the Kantriki makedonia. The beach itself is a sandy beach and it's best suitable for a family type of visitor. The closest town to the beach is Sykia, a few kilometres away from the seaside. You will not have any problems with parking here, you can simply park next to the beach, like you can see on our pictures, honestly, there are not many beaches in the world with this parking feature. The beach is 300 metres long and up to 20 metres wide. You have a lot of nice shapes on the beach, some smaller beaches, which are divided by some rock formations. The beach inclination is normal and you can start swimming almost immediately, already after only three metres. Some beach infrastructure is also present here, but it is more or less only basic. Next to the beach there's a camping with some basic infrastructure, otherwise the whole area is more natural. On the beach itself there is no catering option, but you have some restaurants on the neighbouring beach, some 300 metres away. If you are a dog owner, your pet is welcomed here.
