In the Dutch region Flevoland there is a city Almere, which is located next to the lake Weerwater. On the shores of the lake there is a new artificial sandy beach Fantasiestrand. What is really unique about this beach is the fact that you have next to it the option to try some water sport on the skilift waterboard. If you like this characteristics, you can get to the beach with any kind of vehicle and park on a very large parking place only 100m away from the beach. The access to the beach is very easy. Although the main surface is sand, you also have a large grass field. The total length of the beach is 200 m and it is 25 m wide on the sandy part, with the grass field included it gets even more wider. The water entry is nice and comfortable, the water is quite shallow and the point of swim is at 30 m. Some basic beach infrastructure is located here as well, nearby you also have a restaurant. Accommodation is also available mainly in the form of hotels and apartments in the city itself.
