Strand Parnassia

If you're searching for one of the most beautiful Dutch sandy beaches you should take a closer look at the beach Strand Parnassia. It is located in the Dutch region Noord-Holland, close to the city Bloemendaal, not very far away from Amsterdam. The whole surrounding around the beach is full of nature and except a restaurant by the parking, you don't have any buildings around. Very high dunes are surrounding this area and giving the beach a special characteristics. It is very easy to get here with any kind of vehicle and you can park on a very large parking place 100m away from the beach. The path to the beach is not the easiest one, it is quite steep and you need to descent down a dune. This sandy beauty is several kilometres long and more than 100m wide. The inclination of the beach gets very flat the more close you are to the water. The flat beach at the water and the shallow water make the water entry very nice but the point of swim is because of that far away. Other essential beach infrastructure is located around the parking place, this is also the location where you have the restaurant and in summertime beach bars are on the beach. Accommodation is also available in the vicinity but only in the form of a camp or autocamp.
