On the Dutch Lake Haringvliet in the region Zuid-Holland you have are very beautiful small sandy beach, called Strand Vuurtoren. It is located in the City Hellevoetsluis, close to a harbour and the historic water fortifications, which are a must go if you are visiting the city or you want to enjoy some time on the beach. This location is very easy to reach with any kind of vehicle and you can park beside the road directly in front of the beach. The access to the beach is very easy and once you're on the beach you have altogether a 400m long beach which has a maximum width of 30 metres. The water entry is very nice and the swimming point is at 10 m. The beach is quite flat and children will love this beach, because you have a wooden ship children playground and some other children experimental installations located here. All the essential beach infrastructure is available here for you, a restaurant is very close by and you also have some options for accommodation, the closest one are a few hotels and one camp, approx. 1 km away.
