Strand Katwijk 6 & 8

On the Dutch west coastline, in the region Zuid-Holland, you can find many beautiful sandy beaches, which are facing on one side the North Sea and on the other side the high dunes. Strand Katwijk 6 & 8 is such one beach and it is located in the city Katwijk aan Zee. This location is very easy to reach with any kind of vehicle, motorhomes included, and you can park on a very large parking place 200 m away from the beach. The access to the beach is also easy and it leads you on a concrete path. Once you are on the beach u have a very large beach area at your disposal. The total length is several kilometres and it is more than 100 m wide. The inclination is quite normal and it gets flatter towards the sea. The seabed is very shallow, which makes the water entry very nice, but because of it the point of swim is far out away. Beach infrastructure is here only basic, there are no public toilets, except in the restaurant on the beach, which on the other hand is probably open only in summer time.
