Paralia Ouranoupoli
The whole Halkidiki regions is very interesting, not only because of the beautiful beaches, but also because of the its history, culture and cuisine. In the small village Ouranoupoli you can visit a sandy beach, which is famous for its special shapes and historical buildings surrounding it. This beach and the area surrounding it is also one of the last places before you take a hike to the region of Mount Athos. It is a family beach and dogs are allowed to go as well on the beach. The beach itself is a mixture of small pebbles, sand and concrete. It is around 400 meters long, 20 m wide and offers many beach infrastructure and beach services. Parking is available all around the beach, for some you need to pay, some are free, but it will take you less than a minute to get to the beach. Beach inclination is normal and you can start swimming almost immediately, on some spots you can even jump into the water, of course from the pier. In the town itself there are many restaurants and beach bars, some of them are available directly on the beach. In the town centre there is also a ferry point. From Ouranoupoli you can get via the ferry to Tripiti, Dafni and Ammouliani. If you would like to stay here for longer, you have some accommodation available, mainly as apartments, or you stay in a hotel, which is also close by. Enjoy your beach day and remember, always use BeachRex to find you next perfect beach.
