On The danish Island Rømø there has got to be one of the largest sandy beaches you will ever encounter in your life. It has one of the largest flat beach surface area, at least in Europe, if not in the whole world. Like it is usual with such beaches in Denmark, also this one is accessible with a vehicle, that means that you can park right on the beach itself, no matter what the size, or type of the vehicle you have. If you like all the characteristics we have described so far, then please read on. This beach goes by the name Strand Lakolk and it is located in the region Syddanmark. This island, where the beach is located, is easy to reach via a road, which connects the mainland with the island. When you get to the beach, you just need to respect some few rules, otherwise you are free to park wherever you want. This beach is obviously several kilometres long and the total width is close to 1 km. It is a very flat beach which makes the water entry very comfortable and also safe for children to play in it. The point of swim is far out away, more than 100m. Not many beach infrastructure is located on the beach directly, but more is before you enter the beach with your vehicle. This is also the location where you have the most restaurants and shops, but also some beach driving kiosks are available on the beach itself. Accommodation is also available in many forms in the background of the beach, a camping ground is also nearby.
