Mirrorstrand Hemmeland
In the Dutch city Monnickendam, which is located by the lake Gouwzee, you have a very nice and unique sandy beach in the middle of a green park with lots of trees. The name of the beach is Mirrorstrand Hemmeland and it is located in the region Noord-Holland. If you would like to get here you can arrive with any kind of vehicle and leave your car on a large parking place only 100 metres away from the beach. The access to the beach is easy and handicapped people can also access it. Although the main surface is sand you also have many grass fields and some trees as well there. It is a 150 m long beach with a maximum width of 40 m. Because it is very flat and because it has a shallow water the water entry is nice and the swimming point is between 0 and 25+ m. Some basic beach infrastructure is located here, a children playground included. On the beach you also have a restaurant and in the vicinity you have the option to rent an apartment or stay in a hotel.
