Strand Bredene Aan Zee

Belgium is known for having many sandy beaches from north to the south, most of them located on the west atlantic coastline. A lot of tourist destinations are located along the coastline. Most of them have a beach right in front of the city, but there are few who are protected from sand dunes, which means that between the beach and the city you have approximately 100 m of dunes to cross. One such city is Bredene which is located in the region West-Vlaanderen and can offer you a sandy beach Strand Bredene Aan Zee. It is very easy to reach it with any kind of vehicle and you have a large parking places 200m away from the beach. To access the beach you need to cross a railway and a street via a raillway underpass. On the beach you have all the essential beach infrastructure as well as a beach bar. Total length of the beach is several kilometres and the minimum width is 75 m, and with the low tide it gets even more. The inclination on the beach varies from spot to spot. At the beginning it is flat, then it has a sudden drop, then it's flat again. The water entry is nice and the point of swim depends on the tide and should be between 10 and 50 m. Because this is a very touristic destination many different types of accommodation are available in the city.
