The first beach when entering the German region Schleswig-Holstein from the direction of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is the beach Strand Priwall. The world famous and historical town Lubeck, known for its marzipan sweets is only a few kilometres away. The city visit is a must go if you are in this region, you will not only be amazed by the culinary offer, but also with the historic buildings with its exciting architecture from the medieval times. The beach is very easy to reach with any kind of vehicle. The closest parking place is some 300m away from the beach. The beach itself is a few kilometres long, it is made of sand and is 100m wide. You have a lot of surface area to find your spot here. The water entry is very nice and because of the shallow water the point of swim is far out. The shallow water makes it also an ideal place for small children to play in the water safely. You have some beach services available here, also showers. Restaurants and coffee bars are also near the beach, the same goes for accommodation which is available here in the form of apartments, which are located mostly around the parking place.
