The sand dunes in the North German Baltic Sea create sometimes astonishing sandy beaches. In the region Schleswig-Holstein, near the city Kiel there is a very beautiful beach called Strand Heidkate. The closest village to this beauty is Wisch. The location where the beach is located is very easy to reach with any kind of vehicle, also motorhomes. It takes only 50 m of walking to access the beach. Although the main surface on the beach is white sand, you also have some grass on the artificially made protection dunes. If you also like cycling, this place is very popular for this kind of sport. The total length of the beach is several kilometres and you have around 25 m of widness available. The water entry is very nice and the swimming point is at around 40m. Some basic beach services are available here, a small bistro is also nearby. For accommodation you have multiple options to choose from, also a camp.
